Firefighter Youth Academy
OAKLAND
The Oakland Firefighter Youth Academy (OFYA) is a youth development and career exploration program that provides life guidance, leadership training, and community service opportunities for youth in the City of Oakland who are interested in improving their social, academic, and economic position in life.
The Oakland Firefighter Youth Academy is also an expansion program within our Bay Area expansion effort. With the academy located on 259 Victory Ct, Oakland, CA we continue to expand our mission.
Community Based Partnership
Community-based organizations will assist with the recruitment of cadets who have the greatest need and will help connect families to supportive resources.
The program is a partnership between Support For Actively Rising Youth (SFARY), the Oakland Fire Department, community-based organizations, and Oakland area school districts.
