Firefighter Youth Academy
SACRAMENTO
The Sacramento Firefighter Youth Academy (SFYA) is a youth development and career exploration program that provides life guidance and community service opportunities for the youth of the City of Sacramento whom are interested in improving their social, academic and or economic position in life. The SFYA is located at 2409 Dean St., McClellan Park, CA.
The program is a partnership between Support For Actively Rising Youth (SFARY) and the Sacramento Fire Department, Community based Organizations and Sacramento Area School Districts.
Community Based Partnership
Community Based Organizations will assist with recruitment of cadets with the greatest need. Firefighters and other positive roll models, will coach, mentor and inspire Sacramento youth to graduate from high school and peruse higher education. Cadets will focus on the program’s core values, Academic Achievement, Community Service, and Self Discipline.
